Senior Staff Member / Fresh Department

As a Senior Staff Member in Fresh Department, you, along with your team, will be responsible for a well-stocked and well-presented fresh section. You will be the point of contact for customers, advising them on our extensive and daily fresh assortment of vegetables, fruits, dairy, and other fresh products.

What you will do:

• Ensure that the shelves are well-stocked together with your colleagues from the fresh department.
• Replenish vegetables, fruits, and fresh products using FIFO (First In First Out).
• Inform the Team Leader of Fresh Department about expiration dates (according to the agreed process).
• Manage the bakery section, including inventory management, baking, and freezing.
• Assist the Team Leader with overall department inventory management.
• Support the Supermarket Manager with ordering products for the department.
• Contribute to the selection of delicatessen items.
• Work with your colleagues to ensure a clean and safe working environment according to HACCP guidelines and be jointly responsible for the associated cleaning tasks in the department.
• Monitor the quality of GFV (Produce, Fruit, and Fresh) products with your colleagues.
• Portion and package products so they are ready for sale and/or shipping to customers.
• Act as backup and support for the Team Leader.

Who you are:

• Detail-oriented to ensure that fresh products are correctly placed on the shelves.
• Able to work well in a team.
• Capable of explaining processes or products to colleagues.
• Possess leadership skills.
• Have good communication skills to assist customers.
• An effective planner with organizational abilities.
• Hardworking with no 9-to-5 mentality.
• Proven knowledge of delicatessen and/or fresh products.
• At least one year of experience in retail, detail trade, or logistics.
• Passionate about high-quality food products. You know what great food is!
